Potty Training Tips

Go Bare!

At home, let your child …peruse in the bare or a t-shirt.
Having no diaper or underwear on he’ll have no place to eliminate his pee or poop. Since she/he needs to put it somewhere you have a chance to direct them to the bathroom because the toilet would be a good idea! I am sure we all agree on this.
When she/he does put it in the potty, make sure you both have a good look and talk about it (yuck, I know, but the visual is important.). It‘s a great idea to talk about where the pee and pop go, over and over.

Flushing is important too. Kids can get so scared during the process, especially special needs children so make a huge deal by pointing at the swirling water while you both acknowledge and imitate the cool whooshing sound.
